7 Stunning Bathroom Trends in 2021

I recently completed a beautiful primary bathroom refresh for one of my clients. While working on the project, I found myself scrolling through photos of stunning primary bathrooms on Instagram, and I noticed some looks that are definitely trending in 2021. Keep reading to check them out, and maybe they will inspire a primary bathroom remodel in your own home!

Freestanding Tubs

Freestanding tubs have been around for well over a century, but recently, they have become more commonplace in new construction. Newer models feature a sleek, contemporary look that add elegance to any bathroom.

Flat-front Cabinetry

While shaker-style cabinets are still dominating the market, flat-front cabinetry is making its mark in 2021! For an even cleaner and more modern look, flat-front cabinets create a seamless panel that just looks so sharp!

Floating Shelves

You see that narrow floating shelf under the vanity mirrors? I am obsessed with it!!! It is a beautiful way to anchor the mirrors and also add a functional shelf to a primary bathroom. This is one trend that I can’t wait to incorporate into an upcoming design.

Floating Vanities

I just talked about floating shelves, and here we have floating vanities! These wall-mounted options create the illusion of space by opening up distance between the floor and the bottom of the vanity. While typically seen in very modern contemporary designs, newer options are coming available to fit any design aesthetic.

Fluted Cabinet Fronts

In case you haven’t noticed, fluted furniture is making a major comeback in 2021 — even in the bathroom! The delicate fluted fronts on these cabinets add texture and warmth to the space in a big way.

Simple Mirror Frames

In some spaces, you need a mirror of a very specific size to complete the look. Instead of searching for hours trying to find the perfect fit, many designers are using custom cut mirror glass with a simple wood frame. This saves time and money — big wins in my book!

High Contrast Design

High contrast design continues to trend in 2021. Most prominently, it is seen in white or extra light walls with contrasting black or dark accents. For an extra bold choice, try painting your trim out in a dark color as well!
